چکیده

An aggregate game is a normal-form game with the property that each player’s payoff is a function only of his own strategy and an aggregate function of the strategy profile of all players. Aggregate games possess a set of purely algebraic properties that can often provide simple characterizations of equilibrium aggregates without first requiring that one solves for the equilibrium strategy profile. We demonstrate that the defining nature of payoffs in an aggregate game allows one to embed the strategic analysis into the aggregate-strategy space, converting an n-player game to a simpler object – a self-generating single-person maximization program. We apply these techniques to a number of economic settings including competition in supply functions or competitive agency games with nonlinear transfer functions. This paper consolidates many of the results in the previous working papers “A note on aggregatestrategy games,” 2005 and “Tricks with aggregate games,” 2007. †Toulouse School of Economics (EHESS). The aggregate-monotonic core

The main objective of the paper is to study the locus of all core selection and aggregate monotonic point solutions of a TU-game: the aggregate-monotonic core. Furthermore, we characterize the class of games for which the core and the aggregate-monotonic core coincide. Finally, we introduce a new family of rules for TU-games which satisfy core selection and aggregate monotonicity.

Effects of Compactor Types on Aggregate Orientation of Asphalt Mixtures

More than 90% of Malaysian roads are constructed using asphaltic concrete. However, previous investigations of asphaltic concrete have mainly concentrated on the macroscopic properties of the composite materials based on the assumption that the mixtures are homogeneous and isotropic. This paper applies a digital image processing technique to compare the orientations of coarse aggregate particle...

Aggregate comparative statics

In aggregative games, each player’s payoff depends on her own actions and an aggregate of the actions of all the players (for example, sum, product or some moment of the distribution of actions). Many common games in industrial organization, political economy, public economics, and macroeconomics can be cast as aggregative games. In most of these situations, the behavior of the aggregate is of ...

The Elastic Modulus of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) with Random Distribution of Aggregate and Fiber

The present paper offers a meso-scale numerical model to investigate the effects of random distribution of aggregate particles and steel fibers on the elastic modulus of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC). Meso-scale model distinctively models coarse aggregate, cementitious mortar, and Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) between aggregate, mortar, and steel fibers with their respective materi...
